How the Visa Deposit Program Works
Starting April 2, 2026, citizens of Georgia who meet the requirements for a B1/B2 visa will be required to pay a deposit of up to $15,000 USD.
During the interview, the consular officer will inform the applicant whether they meet the visa requirements and will provide instructions on how to pay the deposit.
Applicants must not use third-party websites to pay the deposit and must not make any payment until instructed to do so by a consular officer.
A B1/B2 visa will not be issued to Georgian citizens until the deposit has been paid. This requirement applies regardless of the location where the application is submitted.
