“Georgian Diaspora Forum” was held in Philadelphia

On December 18, 2023, the Georgian Diaspora Forum was held in Philadelphia. The forum was dedicated to the International Day of Migrants. The conference was organized by “The Georgian Diaspora” and “Georgian-American Society.”

The Georgian Ambassador to the USA, Mr. Davit Zalkaniani, opened the forum. The forum was attended by organizations working on the topic of Georgian emigration in the USA and representatives of media and business companies founded by Georgian emigrants from different states of the USA.

Speakers at the meeting talked about their activities, problems, and challenges of immigrants and ways to solve them. The conference is being held for the third year, which contributes to solving the issues of Georgian emigrants in the USA and strengthening the cooperation of various organizations.

The supporters of the meeting were: “I Will Return,” “Tvistomi Assotiation”, “Lile,” “Vip Beauty Line,” “Caring Hearts Home Care,” and “Fabrica.” Zurab Kvantrishvili was the event’s co-organizer.

The celebration of the International Day of Migrants on December 18 is related to the International Convention on All Migrant Workers and Members of Their Families adopted by the United Nations on December 18, 1990. However, the celebration of this day as the International Day of Migrants started later – in 2000.
