Georgian Diaspora Forum 2025

On May 27, 2025, a forum dedicated to the Diaspora and Georgia’s Independence Day, which has become an annual tradition, was held in Brooklyn. The organization “Georgian Diaspora” has organized the forum in partnership with the organizations Tvistomi, the Georgian-American Business Association (GABA), and the Universal Services Space (USSi).

The forum was opened by Ina Asanidze, co-founder of the Georgian Diaspora organization, who is the initiator and organizer of this forum, together with Irma Rubino.

Representatives of the Georgian diaspora from various states, including community organizations, insurance, banking, art, education, business, law, finance, accounting, social media, and other fields, participated in the forum. The Georgian-American Republican Alliance was represented at the forum as a guest. Additionally, representatives from partner organizations in Georgia include the Rector of David Agmashenebeli Academy, Nana Jikia, and the Head of the Association of Women Leaders, Natia Shatirishvili.

The forum was facilitated by Zviad Devdariani, Executive Director of the organization “Universal Services Space” (USSi).

Within the framework of the forum, several issues were discussed related to the new political reality in the USA and the challenges faced by Georgian immigrants. The opportunities for economic empowerment of immigrants, trends in Georgian business, challenges and opportunities for cooperation between different business sectors were discussed. Additionally, topics such as legal services for immigrants, immigration challenges, insurance packages, and access to healthcare services for immigrants were also discussed.

The forum was held in a question-and-answer format, and a lot of helpful information was exchanged, which will help the Georgian community and professionals in various fields disseminate information on current topics as widely as possible among the Georgian diaspora in America.
